Job Title: Building Engineer Supervisor
Position Summary
We are seeking a Building Engineer Supervisor to lead and oversee daily facilities operations, ensuring the highest quality of service and performance. This role is responsible for supervising the facilities team, managing building systems, and maintaining mechanical operations, communications, safety, and energy management programs. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership skills with hands-on technical expertise across HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise and develop the facilities team, including hiring, training, and performance management.

Ensure compliance with safety programs, policies, and procedures.

Conduct inspections of building systems and equipment; troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs, ensuring optimal performance of mechanical systems.

Assist with and perform maintenance tasks including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and general building repairs.

Collaborate with property managers, vendors, tenants, and senior leadership on operational needs.

Administer inventory control, purchase parts and supplies, and manage vendor relationships.

Coordinate responses to emergency situations (fire, equipment failures, evacuations, etc.).

Develop and deliver training for facilities staff on building systems and equipment.

Ensure compliance with all codes, regulations, and operational directives.

Manage vehicle safety program, GPS monitoring, and driver compliance.

Participate in staff reviews, evaluations, and ongoing personnel development.
Qualifications
-
Experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance.

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and facility operations.

Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead a team effectively.

Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.

Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.

Physically capable of lifting 50–100 lbs. and climbing ladders.

Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
